Buzz Kill

I was all ready to write a quick review and comparison of my new phone to old phone, but, something happened.

Somebody I have been following on Twitter for almost a year now, has been going through a very trying situation. His younger brother has been suffering, from what I gather to be, terminal cancer. I'm not exactly sure of the young mans age, but I know he is high school age.

The person I follow on Twitter is a very religious person, and calls upon his faith to bring strength for himself and family at this time. I am not a very religious person, but I understand where he is coming from. At times like this, where you can no longer get help from a "physical being", you have to search elsewhere for answers and help.

I lost my dad to cancer, and I can't even imagine losing my younger sister to the same disease. After reading through his recent Tweets, it appears that the young man may not be with us too much longer. Clergy have been in and out of the hospital room, saying prayers for the boy. My friend is spending the night with him sleeping in a chair beside his hospital bed.

Take today and truly appreciate the people around you. Put the iPhone, and laptop down for a second, turn off the HD Tv, and give your loved ones a good old fashioned squeeze. And when they ask, "what was that for?" You can tell them, "No reason, Mikey thought it to be a good idea".

Ill give you a review of the iPhones in the next couple of days.

Be well my friends.

Don't take anything for granted.

Ch ch ch changes...

Summer is really heating up! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWoHP) has finally opened to the public. Videos I have posted on YouTube of the WWoHP have really spiked in the last 24 hours. This always brings MCM new subscribers, and followers and what not. This couldn't have happened at a worse time.

As you know, MCM is transitioning to new management. The look of things around the MCM website, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter will all be changing slightly. Hopefully, all the new people just discovering us now will "get" everything going on, and stick around for the ride.

The only major thing coming up "theme park" wise, is the re-open of Captain EO at Epcot. I think after that, MCM will be going down for a short refurb. Our most popular time of year will be right around the corner. Halloween Horror Nights, and The International Food and Wine Festival.

Expect the new owners of MCM to come forward in the next couple weeks. They are great people! They expressed interest to keep me around for a while before I decide to branch off and do other things. This is really convenient seeing as how Lauren and I will be doing some moving mid-July. I won't have time to dedicate to my new projects until I am settled in to the new digs anyway.

I hope everyone is doing well! All five of you that are subscribed! You guys rock!

Blended reality?

Andy Kaufman has always been a hero of mine. He died when I was almost 6 years old. I can't recall seeing any of his antics "live", but growing up, I'd watch Taxi re-runs, and I remember seeing some of the whole wrestling thing on TV. Finally, five years after he "allegedly" died, a documentary was released.

"I'm From Hollywood"

The main premise of the movie was to show Andy during his "wrestling days". But a good chunk of the first ten minutes of the film showed glimpses in to the early days of his career. But in 1995 another documentary was released.

"A Comedy Salute to Andy Kaufman"

His peers recalled stories of his acts or times shared with the comedic genius. I was able to see more in to the man. His ability to make people second guess what they think is "real" or "part of the show" was always my favorite thing about him. And that was also his biggest tragedy.

"Man on the Moon"

Jim Carrey was flawless. He did more than an imitation. He became Andy Kaufman! It's been more than ten years since this movie has come out, and nothing new relating to Andy has been released. I hope someone out there will fascinate, captivate, and inspire others just like he did.

Andy was special.

I can be special.

Have a great week everyone! Be safe!

2 years on YouTube

Making videos as frequently as I do, milestones like 50th video, or 100th video aren't that impressive. I can post 3 or 4 videos to YouTube in a day depending on the story sometimes. Lots of podcasts like to celebrate their 100th episodes as a major accomplishment. Well, lets think about this...
If a podcast puts out one episode a week(give or take), then their 100th episode would come around the two year mark...
So this two year anniversary kind of like our 100th episode milestone celebration!

Woot!

As most of you who read this know(all 4 of you), I was making theme park vids before I had a channel specifically for it. Since the birth of MCM on YouTube, I have embraced everything that drives traffic to Orlando Florida. I want to show it off to everyone.

Walt Disney World.
Universal Orlando.
SeaWorld.
Busch Gardens.
The Orlando Magic.

These are some specific examples of videos you will find and continue to find on our channel. There will be some additions in the coming months. As the town expands. As my brain expands.

Thanks for reading
