May 16th 2011

Today was a totally awesome day!

Woke up at 8:50am.

Showered.

Left the house and made it to Disney's Hollywood Studios by 9:30ish.

Met up with a Magic City Mayhem friend, Lee. Our mission. Ride Star Tours.

Because we are simply, "cool like that", we skipped the line our first go round on Star Tours. When I say "skipped the line", I mean, we used the fast pass queue.

We looked bad ass.

We got to our Starspeeder, and were assigned row number 1.

We stood there, entranced by the new over head video screens showing the new safety spiel.

All of a sudden, a stench of filth and sweat filled the air. Out of nowhere, like a siren breaking the silence of 4am, I heard a familiar voice...

"I've got a very bad feeling about this..."

It was Core Tomless.

My arch nemesis.

My friend hadn't yet noticed him until we boarded our Star Speeder. I didn't know that my friend and I shared a mutual disdain for this person either.

"Core!" Lee said when he actually realized he was seated in the row behind us.

I, for a brief second, contemplated on making a move to make the big lug flinch like the cowardly "gorilla monsoon" look-a-like he is, but didn't. I simply smiled and nodded at one of his companions that I considered a friend, and took my seat.

I feel like I was the bigger man this day. I didn't even have to make the comment, "I have a very bad feeling about this.". After we shared a ride on Star Tours, Core Tomless and his crew squandered off in a different direction, as me and my buddy rode 3 more times.

He left.

He fled.

Star Tours was mine for that moment.

I finally got to meet Henry Work this day as well. It was as painfully awkward as a first IRL meeting would be. But hey, we broke the ice for further adventures!

I have minor social anxiety. Not sure if I have mentioned this yet. Granted, it seems like it comes about on my own terms. But it is there none the less.

Big Star Tours meet up Thursday night at midnight. Hope to hang with the Hochbergs most of the night. They're good peeps.

Lots of drawing going on.

Kiss your momma.

Sleeeeeeeeeep....

Me
